Mavid Construction to Host Hiring Fair in Brimley, Michigan on July 17th

Mavid Construction has been awarded the contract for drywall installation at the Bay Mills Resort & Casino in Brimley, Michigan. The project is set to begin in August 2024, and Mavid Construction is actively hiring Steel Stud Framers, Drywall Carpenters, and Drywall Finishers. A job fair will be held on Wednesday, July 17th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kewadin Casino Hotel and Convention Center in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.

What We Offer:

$3 above union scale
Hotel and per diem
Drive time pay (within 1.5 – 4 hours)

Job Responsibilities:

Construct wood, steel, drywall, and metal framing
Hang drywall
Install metal trusses
Prepare drywall for finishing
Tape and finish drywall
Use and maintain hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power tools in a safe manner
Basic knowledge of tool and equipment safety, with the ability to identify and correct environmental or workplace hazards
