Mavid Construction’s first-ever project was Casino Arizona at Talking Stick Resort and Convention Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Reflecting on the 10-year history of Mavid Construction, Fulwilder believes that the $1.3-million contract for drywall installation at Casino Arizona was a linchpin for company success.

“The Casino Arizona project let us know how we wanted to operate as a construction company and what we needed to do to handle large projects,” Fulwilder said. “It also demonstrated our capabilities to other Native-American tribes and began a track record of quality work within and outside tribal communities.”

Mavid had a 40-person crew on site for about eight months. The new construction project was over $500,000 total in scope.
